Job summary

AdventHealth in Kissimmee, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. You will administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care that meets standards and improves outcomes.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS, and at least an Associate degree in nursing with hospital experience.

Qualifications

RN with current license in Florida or eligible to obtain one.
Experience in hospital acute care is preferred.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
Develop and implement individualized care plans, revising as needed.
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols.
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care.
Coordinate with medical staff and departments to optimize patient care.
Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record.
Respond to code situations and ensure patient stabilization.
Engage in ongoing professional development and performance improvement.
