Job summary

Holland Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to provide and coordinate patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting. The RN will lead care coordination, teach patients and families, and collaborate with the nursing team to achieve optimal outcomes.

This full-time night shift offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and pay range of $34.00–$49.18 per hour, with a 72-hour biweekly schedule. Michigan RN license and BLS are required; ACLS/PALS may be required depending on unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
• Current Michigan RN License (or completed by end of orientation).
• Current BLS for the Healthcare Provider (or completed within 60 days of hire).
• Two years RN experience in the desired specialty area (preferred).

Job Overview

The RN is responsible for the provision and coordination of patient‑centered care. The RN coordinates care to achieve desired outcomes, participates in patient and family teaching, and provides leadership by delegating and working cooperatively and collaboratively with ancillary nursing and other members of the healthcare team. The RN is also accountable to practice in accordance with the Michigan Public Health Code Act 368 of 1978, Article 15 (Health Occupations), Part 172 (Nursing). The RN must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and service appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her area.

Compensation and Benefits

• $5,000 Sign‑on Bonus
• Pay Range: $34.00 – $49.18 per hour
• Bonus requires 1 year of employment in the same department and on the same shift

Employment Type & Hours

• Full‑time, 72 hours every 2 weeks
• Schedule: 7:00p.m. to 7:30a.m., every third weekend required

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing Program
• Current Michigan RN License (or completed by end of orientation)
• Current BLS for the Healthcare Provider (or completed within 60 days of hire)

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Certification in a specialty area (CCRN, CRN, CNOR, CEN, etc.)
• Recent hospital experience and/or previous nursing practice experience
• Two years prior RN experience in the desired specialty area
• Prior experience with electronic patient documentation systems
• Prior experience with technology common to the specialty area (e.g., cardiac monitors, IV pumps)
• Bilingual

• Certification Requirements (as applicable to specific units):
  • ICU/TU, Cardiac Cath Lab, Emergency, PACU, Surgery Center, Endoscopy, Spine/Orthopedics, Float Pool: ACLS Certification or completion within one year of hire.
  • Emergency, 5 West, PACU, Surgery Center: PALS Certification or completion within one year of hire.
  • Birth Center: NRP Certification or completion within one year of hire.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation required.
