  • CCRN/CCRP within two years of hire (for critical care).

Responsibilities

  • Performs a comprehensive assessment on all patients within the appropriate time of admission.
  • Plans the patient's care on an individual basis with identified problems and outcomes.
  • Plans for patient teaching, discharge and post discharge needs.
  • Functions independently with treatments, procedures and equipment and adheres to policies.
  • Handles/transports/stores/prepares/administers medications safely and accurately.
  • Documents accurately and timely.
  • Reassess patient condition and modify plan of care as needed.
  • Accepts charge responsibilities and assigns staff based on patient condition and acuity.
  • Maintains healing and therapeutic environment for patient and family.
  • Maintains work areas and personal appearance to reflect professionalism.

  • For critical care: ACLS within 6 months of hire
  • For critical care: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire
  • For critical care: AACN, CCRN or CCP certification within two years of hire
  • For Oncology: ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire
  • For Adult Emergency Room: At least one year of emergency experience preferred

  • Adult medical/surgical unit with patient population ranging from adolescent to > 99 years of age
  • Pediatric medical/surgical unit with patient population ranging from neonate to 21 years of age
  • Critical Care unit with patient population ranging from adolescent to > 99 years of age
  • Oncology unit with adult patient population
  • Adult emergency department with patient population ranging from less than one year of age to > 99 years of age
  • Pediatric emergency department with patient population ranging from neonate to 21 years of age.
  • Able to communicate in English verbally and legibly.
  • Requires prolonged standing and working for up to twelve hours a day
  • Able to stand/work for up to twelve hours a day.
  • Able to lift with assistance up to 250 lbs.
