We are currently looking for a Float Pool RN to join our North Central Surgical Center team.

The Float Pool RN is responsible for planning, directing, organizing, coordinating, and implementing nursing care services for an assigned patient population, ensuring the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care. The role includes maintaining compliance with professional nursing standards, TJC, and all Federal and State regulations. This position responds to patients presenting with healthcare needs, providing total comprehensive care to patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation, and involves assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Current Texas Nursing License
• Current BLS certification
• Attain ACLS and PALS certifications within 90 days of hire
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• Minimum 1-2 years experience in Medical/Surgery or ICU units
• Ability to recognize, evaluate, and work collaboratively with patients, staff, physicians, and vendors to solve problems
• Effective communication and organizational skills
• Accountability, professionalism, openness to change, creativity, and innovation
• Understanding of aseptic principles and their application
• Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
• Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement principles
