North Central Surgical Center is a highly successful, Baylor Scott & White affiliated hospital located in Dallas, TX. We partner with the very best team members and medical staff in the area. We are a surgical-focused hospital that performs over 12,000 procedures per year.

FACTS ABOUT NORTH CENTRAL: Opened in 2005, 14 Operating Rooms and 30 Medical/Surgical Patient Rooms. We are conveniently located at Walnut Hill & 75 in the prestigious NorthPark area. Specialties include Orthopedics, Spine, General Surgery, Pain Management, Urology, GI/Endoscopy, Plastic, Podiatry, and Bariatric surgeries. Managed by United Surgical Partners International. Joint Commission Accredited.

We are currently looking for a Float Pool RN to join our North Central Surgical Center team.

The Float Pool RN is responsible for planning, directing, organizing, coordinating, and implementing all nursing care services for the assigned patient population in a manner consistent with accepted standards of care. He/she ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care, maintains compliance with professional nursing standards, TJC, and all Federal and State standards of care. This position responds to patients presenting with healthcare needs, providing total comprehensive care to patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for discharge preparation.

Required Skills and Requirements:

  • Current Texas Nursing License
  • Current BLS certification
  • Attain ACLS and PALS certifications within 90 days of hire
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in Medical/Surgery or ICU units
  • Ability to recognize, evaluate, and work effectively with patients, staff, physicians, and vendors
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, and adaptability
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures and management of surgical patients
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques
  • Ability to care for patients across all age groups
  • Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement principles
