Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Old Bridge Medical Center in Old Bridge, NJ to join the care team on the full-time night shift. You will collect patient data, perform assessments, and participate in planning and implementing individualized care plans.

The role requires an NJ RN license, 6 months of nursing experience (or Nurse Residency), and BLS/CPR within 60 days of hire. BSN in progress or willingness to pursue within three years is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing or diploma required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease specific assessment/data collection independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify variables in patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.

Requirements

Education:
