Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a Float Nurse for the 12-hour night shift. You will float between Med-Surg units or ICUs based on prior experience, implementing and documenting nursing care as per established standards.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited RN program with an Indiana RN license and CPR certification (within 60 days). IMS requires 3+ years bedside nursing in Med-Surg or ICU settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• RN Indiana License with CPR certification on hire or within 60 days of start.
• 3+ years of bedside nursing experience in Med Surg or ICU units.

Responsibilities

• Float nurse duties include implementing, directing, communicating, and documenting the nursing process per current standards and Indiana Nurse Practice Act.
• Act as patient advocate and provide a safe environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues.

As a Float nurse at Saint Joseph Health System you are responsible for implementing, directing, communicating, and documenting the nursing process in accordance with current established standards of care and the Indiana Nurse Practice Act.
