Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and possess a valid RN license in good standing.
• Understanding of safe, effective nursing practices in Indiana.
• Basic computer skills.
• Personal integrity and the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and other personnel.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care, health needs, safety and comfort for residents; document assessments and care.
• Develop, implement and update resident care plans; maintain up-to-date nursing plans (MDS).
• Perform routine nursing procedures; collaborate with physicians and families.
• Provide emotional support and address complaints or incidents calmly and professionally.
• Maintain and document accurate resident medical records and shift reports.
