Job summary

MEP Health is seeking an RN First Assistant (RNFA) to collaborate with surgeons in the operating room, providing direct patient care during surgical procedures.

In this role you will assist during surgeries, plan and evaluate patient care, ensure adherence to perioperative standards, and advocate for patient safety while leading perioperative teams.

Qualifications

• RN license with 2–5 years of experience.
• BSN preferred; CNOR and Certified First Assistant certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist during surgeries, including preoperative planning and postoperative communication.
• Contribute to team efficiency by ensuring safety, effectiveness, and quality of care.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust perioperative care plans accordingly.
• Administer medications and manage perioperative interventions.
• Provide patient and family education and support perioperative safety initiatives.
