Job summary

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital in Virginia is seeking an experienced RN to transition into the Emergency Department via a Fellowship program. Eligible nurses receive sign-on and relocation bonuses and will rotate through all shifts during orientation.

The fellowship duration is 12–16 weeks, with November 2026 and/or March 2027 start dates. This role supports a national leader in safety and patient experience with strong development opportunities.

Qualifications

• RN with minimum one year of acute care experience.
• BSN from an accredited school of nursing; ADN must pursue BSN within 5 years of start date.
• RN license in Virginia or eligibility to practice in Virginia.
• BLS from American Heart Association.
• Proficient in English (verbal and written).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient- and family-centered care.

Inova Mt Vernon Hospitalis seeking an experienced RN who is interested in transitioning to the ED specialty to participate in our Fellowship program. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign on & relocation bonuses.

Full-Time, Night Shift (7p-7a). During orientation will rotate through all shifts (Days, Mids, and Nights).

*This position is ideal forExperienced Nurses looking to change specialties.Required to go through & complete a 12-16 week Emergency Fellowship upon start. November 2026 and/or March 2027.

Emergency Room Nurse Fellow Responsibilities:

• Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team.
• Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner.
• Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes
• Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience:Requires a minimum ofone yearof Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• License:Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
• BLS from American Heart Association
• Proficient in English.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others
• Proficient computer skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferredcandidates will possess 2 years of critical care experience.
• CEN/ACLS certification desired
