Job summary

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for a Transition to Emergency Fellowship. The role offers a 7p-7a night shift with orientation rotating through Days, Mids, and Nights, and includes sign-on and relocation bonuses.

The program requires completion of a 12-16 week Emergency Fellowship after start, with November 2026 and/or March 2027 start dates. We proudly rank among national leaders in patient safety and experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year RN experience in an acute care setting.
• BSN required; ADN holders must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• RN license in Virginia or eligibility to practice in the Commonwealth.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination.
• Deliver patient care in a patient- and family-centered manner.
• Apply integrated approaches toward improving patient outcomes.

Inova Mt Vernon Hospitalis seeking an experienced RN who is interested in transitioning to the ED specialty to participate in our Fellowship program. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign on & relocation bonuses.

Full-Time, Night Shift (7p-7a). During orientation will rotate through all shifts (Days, Mids, and Nights).

Emergency Room Nurse Fellow Responsibilities:

• Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team.
• Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner.
• Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes
• Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience:Requires a minimum ofone yearof Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• License:Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
• BLS from American Heart Association
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferredcandidates will possess 2 years of critical care experience.
