Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Texas is seeking a competent registered nurse to provide independent patient care in a fast-paced setting. You will perform the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients, and delegate tasks as needed.

This role requires BSN preferred, current RN license in Texas or compact, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and at least one year in a related nursing specialty.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; RN licensure in state's jurisdiction or compact required.
• ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required or in progress per policy.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Administer medications and treatments using established protocols; monitor side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on learning needs and resources; plan for ongoing care and discharge needs.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to other care providers to manage the clinical situation.
