Job summary

Christus Health is seeking a competent Registered Nurse in Texas to provide independent clinical care across multiple shifts. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care using the nursing process, and delegate tasks as appropriate within a collaborative team.

The role requires an active RN license (TX or compact), BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC certifications, plus 1 year of related nursing experience. New nurses orientation within 30 days is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, families and caregivers.
