Job summary

Stoughton Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Services team. The RN provides professional nursing care in assigned units, maintains accountability for practice, and guides other nursing staff as needed.

Requirements include an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, Wisconsin RN license in good standing, and BLS with ACLS within 90 days. ENPC/TNCC preferred. The role is 24 hours per week on evenings, with every 4th weekend and every 3rd holiday.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Currently licensed by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in good standing.

Job Summary

Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Services team on a part-time basis. The registered nurse position is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in assigned units, maintaining accountability for their own practice and delegating or providing direction to other nursing personnel in the unit in accordance with their level of experience and expertise.

Essential Functions

• Perform essential functions of a Registered Nurse including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, and evaluation.
• Effectively enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices.
• Maintain knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practices.
• Interact with and contribute to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and others in the conduct of nursing practice.
• Integrate research findings into clinical practice.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Currently licensed by the Board of Licensing and Regulation in the State of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse in good standing.
• Current BLS certification at hire; ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale certification within 90 days; PALS certification within 6 months.
• ENPC and TNCC certification preferred.
• Non‑violent crisis intervention or workplace violence training every two years.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Shift and Schedule

Part‑time, .6 FTE (24 hours per week). Variable days. Weekdays 7:00 pm–7:00 am, every 4th weekend, every 3rd holiday.
