United Surgical Partners International Inc (USPI) is looking for a Registered Nurse Endoscopy at Surgi-Center of Central VA in Fredericksburg, VA. The ideal candidate will conduct thorough preoperative assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient recovery in the PACU.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year experience in Outpatient Endoscopy or surgery.
• Prefer 2 years’ experience in a GI setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive postoperative care education.

Registered Nurse Endoscopy at Surgi-Center of Central VA:

• Conduct thorough preoperative assessments, ensuring patients are prepared for surgery both physically and emotionally.
• Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the anesthesiologist.
• Monitor patients closely in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), assessing their recovery and vital signs.
• Provide comprehensive patient education regarding postoperative care and expectations.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth transition between preoperative and postoperative phases.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Assist with the development and implementation of nursing care plans.Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Current RN unrestricted VA license
• BLS Required
• Minimum of 1-year experience in Outpatient Endoscopy or surgery
