This position offers a Flexi Rotating Shift schedule, providing an excellent opportunity for nurses seeking flexible hours in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Job Summary:
The Endoscopy RN is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care throughout the endoscopic procedure process, including pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedural support, and post-procedure recovery. The ideal candidate demonstrates clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures.

• Assist physicians during procedures by managing sedation, monitoring patient vitals, and ensuring safety.

• Prepare procedure rooms and maintain equipment according to infection control and safety standards.

• Educate patients and families on procedure expectations, post-procedure care, and follow-up.

• Accurately document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote continuity and quality of care.

• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

• Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or compact license).

• BLS and ACLS certification required.

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred; endoscopy or procedural experience strongly desired.

• Strong critical thinking and organizational skills.

• Ability to work rotating shifts, including some weekends and holidays, based on departmental needs.
