Endo RN provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to: Director of Endoscopy Department.

Reports To

FLSA: Non-exempt

Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing Required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred.

License: Current RN license to practice in TX; *New Graduates may work under a TX provisional license for up to 6 months with the expectation that an RN license will be obtained within the first 6 months of employment. If an RN license is not earned within 6 months, practice must cease immediately.

Certifications: BCLS; ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Essential Functions

Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.

Documents patient care given.

Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.

Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

Collaborates across disciplines for patient care coordination, transfers, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial support.

Evaluates learning needs and provides education to patients and families.

Acts as an advocate for the patient's physical and emotional well-being.

Non-Essential Functions
