Job summary

Rutherford Regional Health System, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department in North Carolina. This PRN role focuses on patient-centered, high-quality care in a rural 20-bed ED, with self-scheduling and a supportive team.

You will perform assessments, implement care plans, document thoroughly, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure safety and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina or compact RN license
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS required within 90 days of hire
• Associate's degree in nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred
• One year of ED RN experience required

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient

How You'll Contribute

• One year of RN experience as an Emergency Department RN required.
