$15,000 signing bonus with 2-year commitment

Full Time, Day Shift

7:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. - 36 hrs/wk

This role is considered the minimum for nurses with over 12 months of experience. The nurse provides and coordinates independent care within a clinical specialty as a fully effective member of the multidisciplinary patient care team. Responsibilities include utilizing care models, participating in practice development, and ensuring accountability to patients, families, team members, and management, aligned with the organization's standards and values.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

• Describe general work nature; not exhaustive of all duties.

Clinical Practice:

• Competency in care of the specific patient population; practices independently with solid knowledge and skills; advances own practice.
• Serves as a resource; applies evidence-based practices; functions effectively within the unit roles; collaborates to plan and advocate for patient needs; models safe, timely, patient-centered care.

Professional Development:

• Engaged in ongoing practice improvement; maintains competencies; participates in staff development; serves as preceptor; contributes to orientation and education; completes annual CE requirements.

Service/Quality:

• Contributes to unit outcomes, research, and quality initiatives; provides high-quality, safe, patient-centered care; complies with regulations; reports risks and adverse events; participates in safety initiatives.

Operations:

• Functions as charge nurse; participates in team building, meetings, governance, recruitment, and peer reviews; provides performance feedback.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Maryland RN licensure or eligibility via Compact; current AHA BLS; unit-specific certifications (PALS, ACLS, NRP); >12 months experience; effective communication; basic computer skills.
• Must meet all licensing and professional requirements; demonstrate age-specific care knowledge and skills.
