Job summary

Texas Health is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the ER team in Cleburne, TX. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week with 3-12 hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am and rotating weekends and holidays.

You’ll work in a 17-bed Level 4 Trauma ED with modern equipment, strong physician partnership, and opportunities for professional growth through robust leadership and education. We support your work/life balance with self-scheduling and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing or nursing diploma required.
• BSN preferred.
• One year of RN experience; emergency experience strongly preferred.
• BCLS prior to independent care and maintained quarterly.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• CPI within 90 days of hire.
• PALS within 90 days of hire.
• TNCC within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age-specific safety and infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient information needs.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift and during transfers.

Here’s What You Need

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Nursing Diploma Required
• BSN preferred
• One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
• One year of Emergency experience strongly preferred
• BCLS - prior to providing independent care and maintained quarterly
• ACLS - within 90 days of hire
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support - within 90 Days of hire
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course - within 12 Months of hire

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
