Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department in Cleburne, TX. The role offers full-time night shifts (3-12 hour shifts, 7:00 pm–7:00 am) with rotating weekends and holidays.

You will deliver high-quality nursing care, assess patients, plan interventions, and collaborate with a strong physician group in a Level 4 trauma ED. Requires an RN-appropriate education and current certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Nursing Diploma required.
• BSN preferred.
• One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
• One year of Emergency experience strongly preferred.
• BCLS – within hire timelines; ACLS; CPI; PALS; TNCC within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and during transfers.

Here’s What You Need

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Nursing Diploma Required
• BSN preferred
• One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
• One year of Emergency experience strongly preferred
• BCLS – prior to providing independent care and maintained quarterly
• ACLS – within 90 days of hire
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support – within 90 Days of hire
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course - within 12 Months of hire
