Job summary

Mercy Hospital Perry in Perryville, Missouri seeks an RN to provide patient care in the Emergency Department during nights. Uses the nursing process, maintains patient rights, and coordinates care with other departments to ensure quality outcomes.

Candidates will have RN licensure in Missouri or compact, education ASN/ Diploma/ BSN, and BLS certification; sign-on bonus up to $15,000 and bridging programs are offered. Mercy provides comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (ASN, Diploma, or BSN).
• RN license in Missouri or compact licensure; maintain active status.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, stand/walk for long shifts.

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. RN Incentives:

• Up to $15,000 Sign-On Bonus
• 2 year commitment
• ASN to BSN Bridging Program to assist in obtaining your BSN (up to $16,000).
• BSN to MSN Bridging Program to assist in obtaining your MSN (up to $16,000).

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• License: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Other: Physical Requirements: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department-required timeframe:

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
• S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
• C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
• Other unit-specific certifications as required
