Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an experienced RN for the Emergency Department in Plainfield on an evening shift. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, with 3:00pm–3:00am hours, including every third weekend and rotating holidays.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN or higher, an active IL RN license, and current CPR. ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications are required within 3 months of start date. Minimum base pay meets updated compensation guidelines.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Current Illinois RN license.
• CPR, ACLS, PALS within 3 months; NIHSS within 3 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care per Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Assess patients’ condition, recognize changes, plan and evaluate care, monitor progress, and record observations.
• Delegate appropriate patient care tasks to other staff and function as a team member to meet unit goals.

Hourly Pay Range: $37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October 2026.

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department – Plainfield – Evening Position Highlights

Position: RN - Emergency Department

Location: Plainfield

Full-Time: 36 hours/week

What you will need:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing; If associate degree in nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a bachelor’s degree in nursing within five years of position start date.
• License: Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Certification: Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within three months of start date into position; Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within three months of start date into position; Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) within three months of start date into position.

• Provides professional nursing care according in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies and procedures.
• Employs critical thinking skills, assesses patients’ condition, recognizes changes, plans and evaluates care, monitors patients’ progress, and records pertinent observations.
• Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff.
• Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals.
