Job summary

Endeavor Health’s Emergency Department in Plainfield, IL seeks a Registered Nurse for evening shifts (3:00pm–3:30am) on a full-time 36-hour week. Requires BSN, IL RN licensure, and relevant certifications with orientation to ED care.

Candidates must demonstrate strong critical thinking, patient assessment, and teamwork to deliver high-quality care while supporting unit goals and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing required.
• If ADN holder, must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• Current State of Illinois RN licensure required.
• Current CPR certification; ACLS, PALS and NIHSS within defined timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care per Act and hospital policies.
• Assess patients, monitor progress, and document observations.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to staff and collaborate with the team.
• Contribute to unit goals and patient safety.

Hourly Pay Range

$37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October 2026.

Position Overview

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department- Plainfield –Evening Position Highlights: Position: Registered Nurse- Emergency Department Location: Plainfield, IL Full-Time: 36 hours/week Hours: Evening 3:00pm-3:30am with every third weekends and rotating holidays

What you will need:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing; If associate degree in nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a bachelor’s degree in nursing within five years of position start date.
• License: Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Certification: Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within three months of start date into position; Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within three months of start date into position; Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) within three months of start date into position

What you will do:

• Provides professional nursing care according in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies and procedures.
• Employs critical thinking skills, assesses patients’ condition, recognizes changes, plans and evaluates care, monitors patients’ progress, and records pertinent observations.
• Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff.
• Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals.
