Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
• Education: ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on standards considering physical, psychosocial, cultural, educational, spiritual, safety and age-related factors.
• Take ownership of the patient's plan of care and make decisions during assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver care.
• Maintain current knowledge and skills per nursing standards and regulatory requirements.

Baystate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department at Baystate Noble Hospital, Westfield, Massachusetts. Our Emergency Department is a 12-bed modern Emergency Department with advanced technology and direct access to specialty care.

The Registered Nurse role offers the opportunity for meaningful impact while supporting patients, serving the community and collaborating with a specialized team.

The Registered Nurse Will:

• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide expected standards of care based on physical, psychosocial, cultural, educational spiritual, safety, and age-appropriate considerations of patients.
• Assumes responsibility for the patient's plan of care and is held accountable for decisions specific to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.
• Provides care directly to patients and in collaboration with other healthcare team members.
• Maintains a current level of knowledge and skill with technical procedures as defined by the nursing specialty organization, complies with all regulations and standards of regulatory and accrediting bodies, and is currently licensed in the state of Massachusetts as a registered nurse.
