The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department provides direct patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This role is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients experiencing urgent and emergent medical conditions. The RN collaborates with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compassionate, and efficient care.

Key Responsibilities

• P erform triage assessments to prioritize patient care based on acuity.


• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.


• Monitor patient status and respond rapidly to changes in condition.


• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families in crisis situations.

Required Qualifications

• Cur rent Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

• Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience; prior emergency or critical care experience strongly preferred.


• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
