Job summary

Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This 24-hour/week role features a 12-hour day shift from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, every third weekend and rotating holidays.

Join our team to provide excellent patient care in a fast-paced, compassionate environment. The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, document findings, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Current RN Pennsylvania state license required.
• Current BLS required or obtained by orientation.
• ACLS required or obtained by orientation if applicable to Area of Practice.
• Previous acute care and/or ER experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides total, comprehensive care to patients by applying the nursing process.
• Communicates plan of care and changes in patient condition to the health care team.
• Documents assessment, plan, interventions and outcomes per policy.
• Documents pain, fall risk and wound risk and plan of care.
• Interprets and utilizes clinical data in the plan of care.
• Assesses patient for potential risk factors.
• Performs thorough nursing physical assessment.
• Participates in discharge planning with a multi-disciplinary team.

Job Title: Registered Nurse

Position Purpose

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of patient care. The professional nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation of patient care to other members of the healthcare team.

As a Registered Nurse, You Will

• Provides total, comprehensive care to patients by applying the nursing process in an organized and systemic manner according to hospital policy.
• Communicates proactively to the health care team, plan of care, changes in patient condition, the patient progress, the discharge plan and other relevant information.
• Documents assessment/reassessment, plan, interventions and outcomes according to policy and interprets and utilizes clinical data in the plan of care:
• Documents pain assessment and plan of care.
• Documents fall risk and plan of care
• Documents wound risk and plan of care.
• Interprets & utilizes clinical data in the plan of care.
• Assesses patient for potential risk factors.
• Performs accurate and thorough nursing physical assessment.
• Participates in discharge planning, using a multi-disciplinary approach.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Current RN Pennsylvania state license required.
• Current BLS required or obtained by completion of orientation.
• ACLS required or obtained by completion of orientation if Applicable to Area of Practice.
• Previous acute care and/or ER experience preferred
