Job summary

Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia, part of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, seeks an ER Technician for the Emergency Room. This part-time role (24 hours/week) involves a 12-hour day shift with every other weekend and rotating holidays.

The technician will assist in patient care under RN supervision, perform phlebotomy as needed, and support the team with equipment, supplies, and clerical tasks. BLS is required; phlebotomy proficiency preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of phlebotomy training within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum one year experience in a clinical setting.
• Current BLS required.
• Phlebotomy proficiency preferred.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-licensed direct patient care to patients from neonate to geriatric.
• Assist the healthcare team by caring for patients, equipment and supplies.
• Provide clerical and nursing care support services.

Job Title: ER Technician
Unit: Emergency Room
Employment Type: Part-time (24 hours/week)

Location: Nazareth Hospital - Philadelphia, PA

Position Purpose

The Emergency Room Technician functions under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. He/she provides non-licensed direct patient care to neonate through geriatric patients. He/she assists the healthcare team by providing personal assistance to patients by caring for the patient, equipment and supplies and also by providing clerical and nursing care support services.

Minimum Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of phlebotomy training with six (6) months of hire.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a clinical setting required.
• Current BLS required.
• Phlebotomy proficiency preferred.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills.
