Job Overview

General Requirements

• Adhere to hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines
• Perform responsibilities aligned with the organization's core values, mission, and vision
• Complete all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures
• Maintain current knowledge through self-education and ongoing training
• Attend staff meetings, complete mandatory in-services, and competency evaluations on time
• Demonstrate competency in providing age-specific patient care and customer service skills
• Wear protective clothing and equipment as appropriate

Working Conditions

• Work in a well-lit, air-conditioned environment with moderate noise levels
• May be exposed to high noise, bright lights, hazardous substances, body fluids, or infectious organisms
• May experience high stress and fluctuating workloads; overtime may be required

Qualifications

Education

• 2-year / Associate Degree in Nursing (Required)
• 4-year / Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)

Experience

• 1-2 years nursing experience (Preferred)

Certifications and Licenses

• Current Georgia RN license
• BLS by American Heart Association
• ACLS within six months of hire
• GSCC & NIHSS within 6 months of hire
• PALS within 1 year of hire
• Crisis Response Training within 1 year of hire
• TNCC within 1 year of hire

Skills and Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic computer skills
• Good vision, manual dexterity, and eye-hand-foot coordination
