Registered Nurse Emergency Center 3P -3A

Provides professional nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards and practices. Duties include assessment of patients, developing plans of care, implementing and evaluating these plans. The role requires a high quality of care to meet the Hospital's core mission.

General Requirements

• Adheres to attendance and punctuality guidelines

• Performs duties as required according to departmental policies
• Maintains current knowledge through self-education and ongoing training
• Attends staff meetings, completes mandatory in-services, requirements, and competency evaluations on time
• Provides competent care to patients of all ages, demonstrating appropriate customer service skills
• Wears protective clothing and equipment as needed

Working Conditions

• Works in a well-lit, air-conditioned environment with moderate noise
• May be exposed to high noise, bright lights, hazardous substances, body fluids, or infectious organisms
• Must adapt quickly to changing tasks and manage high-stress situations
• May require overtime and flexible scheduling

Qualifications - Internal

Education Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (Required)
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)

Experience Requirements

• 1-2 years of nursing experience (Preferred)

Certifications and Licenses

• Current Georgia RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire
• Georgia Stroke Curriculum & NIHSS within 6 months of hire
• PALS within 1 year of hire
• Crisis Response Training (CRT) within 1 year of hire
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 1 year of hire
