Qualifications

• BLS certification may be required or preferred depending on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care using evidence-based practices.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients and families.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and collaborate with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Promote a culture of safety and uphold safety standards.
• Document accurately and timely in the EHR.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs.
• Provide age-appropriate care and demonstrate growth/development awareness across the lifespan.
