Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare seeks a Level II Competent Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care in the Fredericksburg area, applying the nursing process and collaborating with the care team. You will lead care delivery for an assigned patient group and ensure continuous, comprehensive assessments and planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN license.
• Virginia license or compact state required.
• BSN preferred and BLS/NIHSS certifications expected on hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process and teamwork.
• Coordinate patient/family teaching and discharge planning.
• Communicate the plan of care to health team members.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality activities.
• Assist in orientation and onboarding of new staff.
• Serve as a point of contact for unit policies and procedures.
• Contribute to daily operations for a safe patient/staff environment.
• Provide education to patients and caregivers relevant to care plans.
