Job summary

HCA Florida UCF Lake Nona Hospital in Orlando seeks an Electrophysiology RN Lead to provide direct cardiovascular nursing care and to lead EP/Cath lab activity.

You will coordinate discharge planning, support ablations and pacemaker insertions, mentor staff, and ensure safety and policy adherence. This role offers a strong team environment and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license (or multistate) with compact license; must obtain Florida license within 60 days after relocation.
• 2+ years RN experience in Electrophysiology and Cath lab knowledge.
• Lead experience highly preferred.
• RN Diploma/Associate Degree; BSN preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or Instructor certification within 30 days of start date.
• ACLS Provider card required within 6 months of employment start date.
• 30 minute call window.

Responsibilities

• Assess and coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team.
• Provide nursing care for Cardiovascular Services, including Cath/IR/EP procedures.
• Lead and mentor team; ensure policy adherence and professional collaboration.
• Prioritize patient flow to optimize time and efficiency.
• Demonstrate safety practices and maintain rapport with staff and colleagues.
• Until designated EP Lab opens, assist with Cath, IR EP procedures; presently 7–12 procedures per day; no call after EP Lab opens.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Electrophysiology RN Lead to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. You will proactively assume responsibility and accountability for several patients during a designated time frame while following policies and procedures. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner.

In this role you will:

• Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
• Provide all nursing care for Cardiovascular Services to include Cardiac Cath/IR/EP and non-invasive cardiology procedures. RN to assist physicians with ablations, pacemaker insertions, and complex arrhythmias.
• Assume responsibility and accountability for several patients during a designated time frame while following policies and procedures.
• Prioritizes and organizes patient flow to ensure best utilization of time.
• General guidance is given and is expected to function with initiative and sound judgement to provide quality services.
• Demonstrate effective safety practices.
• Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and Medical Staff.
• Demonstrate competence when performing other related or licensed functions.
• Until designated EP Lab opens will help with Cath, IR EP procedures. Doing about 7-12 procedures a day now.
• Once EP Lab no call required.

*Shift 5 days-8 hrs

Job Requirements:

• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.

• Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree,BSN is preferred

• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of start
• American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card requiredwithin 6 months of employment start date
• 30 minute call window
