Job summary

AdventHealth in Burleson, TX is seeking an ED Holds RN to provide high-acuity care to admitted ED patients. You will manage treatments, monitor progress, and coordinate with inpatient units for safe transitions to the floor.

Qualifications

Job Description:

Shift: 7:00am - 7:00pm

As an ED Holds Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-acuity, continuous nursing care to admitted patients boarding in the emergency department. In this role, you will manage ongoing treatments, administer medications, monitor clinical trajectories, and coordinate closely with inpatient units and case management to ensure a safe, smooth transition from the emergency room to the hospital floor.

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.

• Previous experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record [Preferred]
• Previous EKG Interpretation Class [Preferred]
• EPIC [Preferred]
