Texas Health Huguley, part of the AdventHealth family, is seeking an experienced ED/PCU RN for a full-time daytime role in Burleson, TX. The position requires PCU experience with high-acuity care in the emergency department and coordination with inpatient units.

The role emphasizes assessment, plan development, med administration, and patient-family education, with strong teamwork and documentation in the EMR. RN licensure and BLS are required.

Formación

• RN with PCU/ED experience preferred.
• Must have RN license and BLS.
• Proficient in standard computer/EMR usage.

Job Description

Shift: 7:00am - 7:00pm ***MUST HAVE PCU experience*** As an ED Holds Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-acuity, continuous nursing care to admitted patients boarding in the emergency department.

• In this role, you will manage ongoing treatments, administer medications, monitor clinical trajectories, and coordinate closely with inpatient units and case management to ensure a safe, smooth transition from the emergency room to the hospital floor.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.

• EKG knowledge (based on patient population; see document EKG and Advanced Life Support Requirements) [Required]
• Previous experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record [Preferred]
• Previous EKG Interpretation Class [Preferred]
• EPIC [Preferred]

Education

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
