Texas Health Huguley in Burleson, TX is seeking an experienced RN to join the ED holds team. You will deliver high-acuity nursing care to admitted patients boarding in the emergency department.

This full-time night shift requires PCU experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with Cerner EMR. Competitive pay range and benefits are offered.

Job Description:

• Shift: 7:00pm - 7:00am ***MUST HAVE PCU experience***
• As an ED Holds Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-acuity, continuous nursing care to admitted patients boarding in the emergency department.
• In this role, you will manage ongoing treatments, administer medications, monitor clinical trajectories, and coordinate closely with inpatient units and case management to ensure a safe, smooth transition from the emergency room to the hospital floor.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.

• Previous experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record [Preferred]
• Previous EKG Interpretation Class [Preferred]
• EPIC [Preferred]

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:
