Overview:

E-ICU is seeking an experienced full-time ICU Nurse for Night Shift 7p - 7a to join the team at our Norfolk location.

**This position is currently located at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital but will be moving in late June to Sentara Independence.

Our Electronic Intensive Care Unit (eICU) uses advanced telemedicine technology to provide an additional layer of critical care, aiming to reduce mortality, length of stay, and prevent complications by proactive monitoring. The Sentara eICU team collaborates with bedside ICU staff to uphold our commitments to teamwork, quality healthcare, and safety.

If you enjoy ICU care, possess excellent critical thinking skills, are tech-savvy, and have 3+ years of critical care nursing experience, consider joining our e-ICU team.

The e-ICU RN provides remote nursing care, acting as an advocate, guide, and resource for bedside ICU RNs, collaborating with eMDs to deliver telemedicine care across multiple ICUs and hospitals.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients via Epic Patient Monitoring, utilizing video conferencing for direct communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams, and maintaining logs of monitoring and APACHE scores.

The Registered Nurse (RN) performs competent nursing care following the nursing process and professional standards, demonstrating clinical knowledge and skills tailored to clinical areas.

Education:

• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) or MSN (preferred)

Certification/Licensure:

• Virginia RN License or eligible for multi-state license
• CCRN preferred
• BLS required within 90 days of hire

Experience:

• 3+ years of recent ICU bedside experience preferred
