Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is hiring a part time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our NICU Team full time.
The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
We are a Specialty Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit featuring 20 private or twin rooms for newborns needing a higher level of care. Our NICU is equipped with all private rooms, including special rooms for twins. We designed the space to enhance natural light and for a peaceful and quiet environment that fosters family bonding and privacy. Our goal is to be child friendly and ensure the comfort of all family members.
Our team consists of NICU Registered Nurses, board-certified neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, NICU trained respiratory therapists, occupational therapists, dieticians, and social workers.
