Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled registered nurse to deliver and supervise care in the nursing unit, coordinating patient plans and participating in interdisciplinary care. You will oversee dialysis treatments and support discharge planning, along with patient and family teaching for post-hospital care.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the care team, performing duties as Charge Nurse when needed, and ensuring quality nursing practice for patients with acute or chronic kidney failure.

Qualifications

• RN License in the state of application.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification required after 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification required from day 1 for Charge Nurses, High Obs, and ICU.
• NNCC certification preferred but not required.
• Dialysis nursing experience related to kidney failure is implied by duties.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care on the unit.
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care; participate in interdisciplinary planning.
• Perform discharge planning and patient/family teaching for post-hospital care.
• Oversee dialysis treatments for patients with acute or chronic kidney failure as ordered.
• May perform Charge Nurse duties as assigned.

Job description

• Utilize the nursing process while delivering, directing, and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care
• Participate in interdisciplinary planning
• Perform discharge planning
• Provide patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization
• Access community resources
• Oversee dialysis treatments for patients suffering from acute or chronic kidney failure as ordered by physicians
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
• May perform Charge Nurse duties

Requirements

• RN License in the state you are applying
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification is preferred initially and required after 90 days of employment
• ACLS certification is required from day 1 for all Charge Nurses, High Obs, and ICU
• Certification through the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC) is preferred but not required
• Dialysis nursing experience/knowledge caring for patients with acute or chronic kidney failure implied by the role responsibilities
