Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking a Dialysis Staff RN to deliver safe patient care in the Inpatient Renal Care Unit. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while guiding patient/family teaching and supervision of nursing staff.

The role requires an active RN license and BLS, with nephrology/apheresis certification encouraged and dialysis experience preferred. Shifts are full-time days (7a–7:30p) with calls, located in Joliet, IL.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (upon hire) and maintained.
• Two years of experience in acute care hemodialysis nursing preferred.
• Certification in Nephrology Nursing or Apheresis Nursing encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in Inpatient Renal Care Unit.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physician about changes in patient condition including monitoring and diagnostic results.

Responsibilities

The Dialysis Staff RN is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Inpatient Renal Care Unit. Directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Can respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Certification in Nephrology Nursing, Apheresis Nursing or both is highly encouraged.
• Two Years Experience in Acute Care Hemodialysis nursing, preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $35.70 to $54.11.
