Qualifications

• 3 years of total RN experience required.
• At least 2 years of RN specialty in ER, Occupational Health, Urgent Care or Critical Care required.
• Must have experience with emergency response, drawing blood and administering vaccinations.
• RN license in MI or compact required / BLS or CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• RN duties in an occupational health clinic, including nursing assessments and patient flow management.
• Draws blood and administers vaccinations as directed.
• Evaluate patient care needs and prioritize treatment with physician oversight.
• Conduct nursing assessment via history, physicals, vital signs and tests.
• Coordinate for further medical treatment with Physician or Licensed Practitioner.
• Identify equipment needs and coordinate repairs with lead clinician.
• Maintain infection control and patient privacy; document care and discharge instructions.
• Support follow-up calls and follow-up visits with patients.

• We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for a contract opportunity with an exceptional Primary Care / Occupational Healthcare company in Detroit, MI
• Start date: ASAP
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Days – Tuesday through Friday 7 am to 5 pm
• Local Pay Rate Range: $50 to $55 an hour
• Travel Pay: $2200 a week gross pay / $1246 a week travel stipend
• Benefits: Medical / Dental / Vision / Weekly Pay

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• RN needed for occupational health clinic.
• Draws blood and administers vaccinations.
• Uses nursing skills to evaluate patient care needs, prioritize treatment, and maintain patient flow.
• Conducts a nursing assessment by taking a patient history and physical assessment and by obtaining vital signs and other medical tests. Provides treatment within scope of practice as defined by state law.
• Collaborates with Physician or other Licensed Independent Practitioner to arrange for further medical treatment, when needed.
• Identifies equipment that needs repair and brings it to the attention of the lead clinician.
• Performs occupational and health screening tests as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
• Conducts appropriate laboratory tests and quality control procedures.
• Documents accurately all elements of nursing assessment, treatments, medications administered, discharge instructions provided, and follow up care arranged.
• Evaluates health education/promotion needs of patients and provides necessary training and instruction.
• Identifies emergency situations and provides care within legal scope of practice.
• Administers medications and medical treatments competently as directed by a Physician or Licensed Independent Practitioner.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment. Follows infection control procedures.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidential patient information.
• Participates in follow up phone calls and follow up patient visits.

Requirements:
