Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA seeks a registered nurse to lead direct patient care using the nursing process from admission to discharge, tailored to the developmental age of the patient population. You will assess patients, develop and coordinate care plans, and supervise care within your unit.

Required MA nursing licensure, BLS (ACLS if not current), and a thorough knowledge of nursing. A BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current, in addition to any unit-specific certifications.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient’s care from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
