Qualifications

• Education from accredited nursing program resulting in RN.
• Current RN license in the practicing state.
• CPR/AED certification required or obtainable within six months.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to lift/move patients weighing 200+ lbs with proper technique.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses residents' health status and educational/environmental needs.
• Communicates plans to IDT members and residents/families.
• Documents care plans on admission and updates as needs change.
• Identifies nursing interventions (orders, education) per plan of care.
• Performs interventions safely (med administration, treatments, IVs) and documents them.
• Responds to changes in condition using SBARR and maintains composure.
