Job summary

Cleveland Clinic in Winston-Salem is seeking an experienced cardiovascular ICU registered nurse to care for critically ill adult patients with complex cardiac, vascular, and thoracic conditions. You will monitor invasive hemodynamics, support post-surgical recovery, and lead a small team in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with a 1-2:1 patient ratio on the full-time night shift.

• Serve as team leader and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff.
• Maintain 1-2:1 patient nurse ratio; act as primary caregiver for post-op patients.

Job description

Join a specialized Cardiovascular Surgical ICU caring for critically ill adult patients with severe cardiac, vascular, and thoracic conditions.

Responsibilities include providing advanced nursing care, monitoring invasive hemodynamics, supporting post-surgical recovery, and managing patients with complex conditions such as cardiogenic shock, aortic dissection, mechanical circulatory support, and post-open heart surgery recovery.

The role requires a current RN license, one year of acute nursing experience, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Candidates should possess a graduate of an accredited nursing program, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Additionally, applicants with inactive or lapsed licenses must complete a board-approved refresher course to relicense.
