Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse for the CVOR to operate in a busy in-hospital CVOR unit in Tuscaloosa, AL. The role requires circulating duties, multi-unit float support, and a 5x8, 40-hour weekly schedule.

Required qualifications include an associate degree in nursing, Alabama or Compact RN license, and certifications such as BLS and ACLS; OR Red Cross credentials are noted. 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week and weekend coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Float to other units/hospitals as needed.
• May work 36 hours guaranteed per week.
• In-hospital, in-office schedule in Tuscaloosa, AL.

Position Description

Travel: CVOR RN

Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals. Shift is 5x8 40 hours weekly. Must Circulate.

HOLIDAYS AS REQUIRED. EVERY OTHER WEEKEND.

Plans, coordinates and directs quality, compassionate care by maintaining standards of professional nursing practice and creating positive therapeutic relationships with patients/families. Provides leadership to other team members by articulating and delegating expected standards of care, supervising and encouraging team members, and supporting their contributions. Supervises LPNs, PCAs, PCAs/US, US, Ortho Techs and other non-licensed staff.

Education - Required

• Associated degree in nursing

Certifications – Required

• AHA BLS
• AHA ACLS
• OR RED CROSS

Licenses – Required

• Registered Nurse State of Alabama or Compact license (No Temp Licenses' accepted)
• NURSYS

Experience - Required:

• 2 years experience; however, will consider 18 months of experience, working under the highest level of professional license, and must have 1 year of RECENT experience in the field of specialty.
