Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is hiring an RN for the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Team. The nurse will support surgical services, help maintain sterility, monitor equipment and medications, and advocate for patient safety before, during, and after procedures.

As an RN in CVOR, you will provide care using the nursing process, supervise staff, involve families in care planning, educate patients, coordinate and prepare OR cases, and assist in cardiothoracic and vascular procedures.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years Operating Room Nursing Experience Required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse.
• Associate of Science, Nursing.

Baptist South is hiring Registered Nurses for our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Team in Jacksonville, FL. The nurse in this role will work as part of the surgical services and operating room teams that treat cardiovascular patients. The individual will assist with patient care, ensure that sterile procedures are followed during surgery, take stock of necessary equipment and medications are needed by the operating room team, and that the patient’s safety and well-being is advocated for. The CVOR nurse will be responsible for the care of cardiovascular patients before, during, and following surgical procedures. The CVOR nurse will participate in the sedation of patients and assist physicians during the procedure by administering medications, monitoring vital signs and applying dressings. The CVOR nurse coordinates the entire operating room with respect to sterility, cleanliness and availability of functioning equipment and supplies, as well as provides critical quality control to ensure the patient's safety.

As an RN in the CVOR Unit, you will be responsible for:
