Job summary

Baptist Health South is seeking an RN for the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team in Jacksonville, FL. The CVOR nurse will participate in sedation, assist physicians, monitor vital signs, and ensure sterility and equipment readiness throughout procedures.

Responsibilities include patient care using the nursing process, coordinating with staff, involving families in care planning, and educating patients about their condition and plan of care. 1–2 years OR nursing experience required.

Qualifications

• RN with active license and BLS/ACLS certification.
• 1–2 years of operating room nursing experience preferred.
• Experience with cardiothoracic/vascular cases is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to cardiovascular patients before, during and after surgery.
• Assist with sterile procedures and ensure OR readiness and safety.
• Coordinate care with surgical team and ancillary services.
• Educate patients and families about the disease and care plan.
• Prepare operating room and case materials; monitor patient status.
