Job summary

SoftPath Medical is seeking a CVICU nurse for a 13-week assignment in Arlington, VA, with a 7p-7a night schedule (3x12s) and an option for 4x12s. Overtime applies after 48 hours when 4x12s are chosen, with every other weekend included.

You will float to ICU, CV stepdown, and cardiac telemetry units as needed, and EPIC documentation training is provided based on experience. Must have active nursing license (VA/Compact) and BLS/ACLS certs.

Qualifications

• Active VA or Compact Nursing License at time of application.
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• Ability to float to regular ICU, CV stepdown, and/or cardiac telemetry unit.

CVICU Nurse Position

Unit: CVICU

Schedule: 7p-7a Nights, 3x12-hour shifts

Option to choose 4x12-hour shifts (please indicate preference on cover letter). Overtime applies after 48 hours per week if 4x12s are selected.

Every other weekend

Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: ASAP, depending on EPIC experience and training schedule

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact Nursing License at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Ability to float to regular ICU (may include caring for COVID patients), CV stepdown, and/or cardiac telemetry unit

Additional Information

• COVID-19: Possible exposure
• Weekend shifts: Every other weekend
• Float: Required to float to regular ICU (potential COVID patient care), CV stepdown, and/or cardiac telemetry unit
• EPIC Training: Clinical documentation class required based on recent EPIC experience
  • CLIN DOC ACCELERATED: For RNs with 6+ months of EPIC experience in the past 12 months; includes approximately 4 hours of modules
  • CLIN DOC 2 DAY: For RNs with less than 6 months of EPIC experience in the past 12 months; no modules required

Vaccine Information

• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 - March 31)
• Religious or medical flu vaccine exemptions must comply with CMS guidelines; agency is responsible for ensuring compliance and providing supporting documentation for approval
