Job summary

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of patient-centered care and cultural awareness.
• Effective communication and documentation.
• Ability to collaborate with the care team and delegates appropriately.
• Knowledge of discharge planning and patient education.
• BLS certification and RN licensure in PA.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, patients and families; follows nursing practices and protocols.
• Partners with patients and families to identify learning needs and provides education.
• Minimizes risk by following established nursing practices and safety protocols.
• Uses IT to communicate, manage knowledge, and support decision making.
• Participates in safety and quality improvement committees and acts as a preceptor.
