Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in Brick, NJ is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join an interdisciplinary team. The role offers a day shift and hourly pay around market rates in a community hospital setting.

You will collect data, perform comprehensive nursing assessments, develop and implement care plans, coordinate with clinicians, and communicate with patients and families to improve outcomes. NJ RN license and BLS required, with ICU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing or nursing diploma; BSN in progress within 3 years.
• Six months acute care nursing experience required; ICU experience preferred.
• Current New Jersey RN license by date of hire; BLS/CPR certification within 60 days.

• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes.

• Implement age and disease-specific care in an organized and timely manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation of patient assessments and care.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning and documentation technologies.

Requirements

Education:

• Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required; BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.

Experience:

• Six (6) months of acute care nursing experience required or active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program; ICU experience preferred.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey by date of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.
